Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter more commonly known as Beyonce is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. She was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. As a child, she enrolled in different schools related to performing arts, singing, and dancing. She became most notable when she became the lead singer or one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, the Destiny’s Child.
When Destiny’s Child undergone a hiatus, she released her first solo album entitled Dangerously in Love in 2003where it contained the songs Crazy in Love and Baby both of which became one of the most successful albums during that year. Due to that, she earned five Grammy awards. she then released succeeding albums which contained Beautiful Liar, Irreplaceable, If I were a boy, and many more. Those albums earned six Grammy awards in 2010 making her the most award winning woman in Grammy awards in one night. When she released her fourth solo album in 2011, it became the number one album in solo artists in Billboard 200. This made shethe third singer in history to top the chart for four consecutive times.
Aside from her singing career, she also ventured in acting careers. She had star roles in Camen:A Hip Hopera(2001), Austin Powers in Gold member(2002), Dreeamgirls(2006), Cadillac Records(2008), and Obsessed(2009). she also advertises some clothing lines, perfumes, and other brands.
She won numerous awards including 11 TV Video Music Awards, 16 Grammy Awards, Billboard Millennium Award, 4 American Music Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with Destiny’s Child. she is married to the rapper Jay-Z and gave birth to their first child named Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012. she is included in the Time magazine’s 100 most influential People in the World in 2013.
